SPORT SPECIFIC FITNESS TRAINING with GAIL FLANAGAN
Description of Training Sessions
Flexibility Exercises and Core Training Session
Stretches to increase flexibility and range of motion, exercises to improve balance, and core training to strengthen the back and abdominal muscles.
Sport Specific Fitness Training Session
Fitness training which focuses on increasing range of motion and flexibility through stretching, core strength and resistance training exercises that are sport specific and will help the athlete reach their goals. A great work out for the athlete with the added component of resistance training to increase strength while increasing flexibility.
Resistance Training Session
Upper and lower body resistance training workouts to increase strength.
General Fitness Training Session
Fitness training sessions can be customized to increase flexibility, and/or strength and/or endurance as needed and given the individual’s goals.
Fitness Training Rates
Sixty-Minute Session: $90 per hour
Package of Ten 60-Minute Fitness Training Sessions: $800
Gail Flanagan has achieved many of her own competition and fitness goals and her training students have achieved many of their goals because she feels she knows what it takes for an athlete to perform at their highest level. She has a masters of science in applied physiology and nutrition from Columbia University and while obtaining her graduate degree, she was the assistant coach for the men’s golf team. She was very instrumental in the team winning the Ivy League Championship which was also the first victory in the history of the men’s golf team. Ms. Flanagan was an athletic scholarship recipient and varsity athlete on the women’s golf team at Arizona State University while obtaining a Bachelor of Science. Ms. Flanagan is a masters swimmer and in 2006, she completed an Olympic distance triathlon. She still competes on a national level as an amateur golfer and she has played in 25 USGA events. Ms. Flanagan has won The New York State Amateur twice and in 2006 she won The Women’s (NY) Metropolitan Open as an amateur.
