| Whether you're a veteran marathoner, weekend warrior, or a new-comer to the world of running, you are susceptible to all kinds of running injuries. The 3 most common causes of running injuries are: Pelvic Imbalance: which causes unequal forces to be applied to the hips, knees, calves, and feet that result in pain in one or more of these areas. Increasing your training regimen without possessing the Correct Training Base. Overtraining: Running too many miles, too frequently, without allowing adequate recovery time for your body to repair itself. This can lead to overuse injuries, such as shinsplints, stress fracture, achilles tendonitis, and plantar fasciitis. In our office we treat every level of runner. From elite athletes training for marathons and triathalons, to recreational runners training to keep in shape, to beginning runners who are learning how to train. |
