Calf Pulls
Calf pulls are a strain to one of the muscles of the calf. They can occur anywhere, from behind the knee to the base of the achilles tendon. This condition is usually the result of running, jumping, or climbing hills.
Doctor's Treatment Plan
Treatment consists of reducing any swelling, and muscle soreness. This is immediately followed by a series of stretching exercises to allow the calf muscles to relax. There is a progression to strengthening exercises in order to avoid future injury. |
