It gets inflamed and hurts in all positions, especially when sleeping on it. Doctor's Treatment Plan The treatment consists of reducing the inflammation and swelling to the bursa. After this is accomplished, we provide the patient with specific exercises to balance the muscles of the shoulder in order to prevent reinjury.
