Coming this February, Duke Chiropractic's very own Yoga instructor will be making her way to India for deeper study of her practice. Shawna Emerick, RYT, will be traveling to Tureya Ashram to explore more techniques and knowledge of asana (poses), pranayama (Life Force control and generation), meditation, kriyas and shat karmas (cleanses and detoxification techniques), dhyana (concentration), prat...yahara (sensory withdrawal), and self-reflection/intentional teachings. Shawna will be taking this "Holistic and Intuitive Living" training under the revered teachers of Adam Cohen, Ph.D., and Dr. Rudramma, MD.
